The Wirral peninsular has many cycle routes and counrty parks for you to explore as well as an interesting history of Roman and Viking habitation, our local pub ( 5 minutes walk away ) has a viking ship buried in blue clay in the car park. Wyngate is less than 2 miles from the Royal Liverpool golf course, where the 2006 British Open was held and close to the many other golf courses on the Wirral. The 2007 European Sand Yachting competition was held in Hoylake which is less than half a mile away.
