We are ideally situated whether you are en-route to destinations further into North Wales or spending a few days touring this scenic area. Please note that although we no longer offer bar or restaurant facilities, Llangollen does have a very good selection of restaurants and inns. Prices quoted are for room only, with an optional continental breakfast available, served between 8.00 and 9.30am. Check-in is normally between 2.00pm and 7.00pm, please let us know if you expect to arrive outside these times (your room may not be available until 2.00pm). We are unable to accommodate children below the age of 12 years.

Abbey Grange is a fully licensed residential Hotel located one and a half miles from the charming country town of Llangollen and is within easy access of all the major roads serving the North West, the Midlands and the rest of the UK. Llangollen is a truly amazing town encapsulating the best North Wales has to offer in a small area. Llangollen has many natural wonders. There are mountains, white water rivers including the spectacular River Dee, waterfalls, canals with horse-drawn boats, The Llangollen Steam Railway with steam trains that chug along the Dee Valley, the Horseshoe Pass, the Horseshoe Falls and all in easy reach of Chester and Wrexham. Llangollen and the Dee Valley has a wealth of attractions and activities to appeal to almost everybody, The Llangollen Railway, closed after 100 years service the line and station were saved from demolition in 1974 by a group of enthusiast. The station was restored and a few hundred yards of track laid. Almost 35 years later, two further station restorations at Berwyn and Carrog plus seven more miles of track later you have an attraction enjoyed by tens of thousands each year. Even older than both of these are the ruins of Valle Crucis Abbey and Dinas Bran Castle respectively. The castle is perched high on a hill over-looking Llangollen and was the home of the founder of the Abbey, Madog.

The Wynnstay Hotel was a well known Coaching Inn on both the route from Liverpool to Cardiff and from London to Holyhead. There are references dating back to 1727, but the existing building is typical of the Georgian Style, and there have been many alterations and additions over the years. Cambrian House is a Grade 2 listed building situated at the heart of Llangollen. Built in 1856 as a Coaching Inn when the A5 was constructed by Thomas Telford. The house has 8 letting rooms, double "four posters", twins, singles and family rooms are available. The House is no smoking throughout. We are also licenced and provide evening meals to order. We are ideally situated as a base for touring North Wales with many walks on hand, plus you can fish, play golf, go white water rafting, horse riding and many more activites which are available nearby. We are also ideally equiped for a one nighter or if you are simply passing through on they way to Ireland or any part of North Wales. You might wish to stay for the weekend. We have plenty of local history to offer with Dinas Bran Castle and Valle Crucis Abbey, or if you prefer ride on the Llangollen Railway. We provide a comfortable, cosy, homely base to return to!
