For over 200 years the Anchor has served Porlock Weirs 15th century harbour for sailors, walkers and huntsmen alike. Where Exmoor meets the sea, Porlock Weir is an idyllic working harbour with stunning coastal views. Martin Miller together with his daughter Tanya have created a hunting lodge by the sea. This 14-bedroom hotel is crammed with Martins antiques and curiosities. The Anchor has all the hallmarks of his unique style. Roaring log fires, candlelit sensuality, books by the thousand and bowls of fruit and sweets, all washed down with a Millers award winning Gin and tonic. Our Coleridge Restaurant overlooking the harbour serves the highest quality food with truly local produce. Following the great success of Millers at Glencot house Wookey Hole we decided that a Millers by the sea was a logical move forward. Millers at the Anchor Inn at Porlock weir is a 14 bedroom hotel and restaurant crammed with antiques, curios and we hope lots of wonderful guests. The hotel opened October 2009 and over the next few months we will be upgrading our bedroom and en-suite facilities. We hope Millers at The Anchor will bring the Anchor back to its former glory but with the addition of modern technology , wi-fi and even cinema. We look forward to friends and new guests alike to sample the delights of one of Somerset hidden gems.

The Duke of Wellington was built in the 17th-century as a traditional coaching inn and posting house. The hotel is conveniently situated in the centre of Minehead. Minehead is a bustling seaside town with attractions to suit a large range of people. It is home to West Somerset Steam railway which runs several steam trains throughout the day over the summer period. Minehead is also famously home to the family amusement park Butlins for which any of our guests could visit upon purchasing a day pass. Minehead is situated on the north coast of Somerset boasting some fabulous sea views. It is also known as "The Gateway to Exmoor" as it is nestled in the centre of Exmoor National Park. The Duke of Wellington is made up of a traditional Wetherspoon pub, a Lloyds No. 1 bar and a Wetherlodge. We offer an extensive menu served between 7am - 10pm. The Lloyds No. 1 music venue is on the side of the hotel and is open until 2am on a Friday and Saturday. Some rooms may experience some noise from Lloyds. If you would prefer a quieter room please advise upon making your reservation.
