Great Trethew Manor is set in 30 acres of beautiful woodlands and gardens, which gives you plenty of walks and grounds to explore in. Within the grounds we offer a trout fishing lake, pony trekking, tennis court, camping grounds and self catering cottages. All our bedrooms have recently been upgraded with traditional furnishings and fittings and all rooms are ensuite with either a bath or shower room. In a selection of our rooms we offer dvd players and all rooms have remote controlled televisions and tea/coffee making facilities. Within the hotel we have a character bar and restaurant with open log fires when the evenings get chilly, candlelit tables and flag stone floors. Our A La Carte restaurant offers local produce food as well as world wide steaks such as zebra, bison and kangaroo together with a bar snack menu. Our cosy cottages are only a minutes walk from the Manor and have been converted from the stables of Great Trethew Manor over 100 years ago. Each cottage consists of a double room and a room with either bunk beds or twin beds. Together with a shower room and downstairs is a small kitchenette, lounge/dining room. They are fully equipped with oven, microwave, fridge, ironing facilities, hoover, all kitchen utensils and crokery. We are ideally situated for exploring cornwall as well as devon. Situalted only 3 miles from Liskeard and 6 miles from the historic fishing village of Looe. The Eden Project is approxiametly 1/2 an hours drive. There are plenty of beaches such as Seaton, Looe, Whitsand all within a 10 mile radius and plenty of golf courses such as Looe Golf Course only 2 miles away, St Mellion Golf & Country Club 15 miles, and Lostwithiel Golf Club 12 miles. The house is new with all modern facilities and is roomy and comfortable. We endeavour to make all our guests welcome starting with tea and biscuits on arrival. There is also afternoon tea available so that you can come back and relax at any time. We are set in open countryside and have lovely views all around. An excellent Pub/Restaurant is only 2 mins. away. The famous Stannary town of Tavistock is only three miles away and Dartmoor with its National Park is a great place for walkers and sight -seers and we are only 30 minutes from the coast. For those who like history the Victorian living Museum of Morwellham is only a ten minute drive away, with a range of walks, mine rides and ladies in victorian finery. The well known chef Peter Gorton is taking over the running of the Morwellham Quay pub at the living Museum (so well worth a visit). New cycle trails are currently being made locally so there is something for all the family. We have storage and repair facilities for cyclists and plenty of easy parking for the motorist. For those without transport we provide a pick-up service to and from the Tavistock bus station. Well behaved children are welcome and families can be accomodated using the double and twin rooms in conjuction with each other along with our very large family bathroom at a very low rate.

Country cottages set within the grounds of Great Trethew Manor Hotel. Our cottages are approximately 200 years old and used to be the stables to the working farm at Great Trethew Manor. The cottages are a sensible size for a family of four. Each cottage consists of a double room and a room with bunk beds together with a shower room upstairs. Within the grounds we offer 30 acres of rustic beautiful woodland and walks, deep into the woods you will find our good sized trout lake, which can be fished at any times, prior to arrangement. We also offer pony trekking which takes you the full length of our grounds for an hours trek or for a two hour trek we continue down into the valley. The cottages are approximately a minutes walk from the hotel and restaurant which is open to residents and none residents, we can cater for breakfast, lunch or dinner in our A La Carte Restaurant.
