Hidden and unspoilt, Whitnage, near Tiverton in Devon, is a quiet rural hamlet with panoramic views of the Culm Valley and the picturesque Blackdown Hills. The cottage, originally dating back to the mid 1600s and Grade II listed, offers guests comfortable accommodation with modern facilities. Bampton is set in the foothills of Exmoor National Park and is 10 minutes from Dulverton, 30 from both North and South Devon beaches and is an ideal base for walking, cycling (Southwest Route No. 3 goes past the front door), riding, shooting, fishing, wind surfing, surfing, sailing and bird watching. Set yourself up for the day with one of Fionas scrumptious breakfasts using fresh local produce cooked on the Aga and served in the dining room. Due to the hotels no-key, code based system guests have complete freedom of arrival. The hotel is five minutes from the M5, (Cullompton). There is also access to the Streatham Campus end of Exeter via Killerton and the Tiverton Road. Exeter airport is seven miles away. Tourists will find that across the road is National Trust Woodland walk. Killerton House and gardens are two miles away. Across the road is an Antique warehouse and nearby is Quad bike World.
