The Royal Oak is a friendly, family run, award winning Inn at the heart of the peaceful Dartmoor village of South Brent. Recently transformed after a complete refurbishment the facilities now include a cosy bar, air conditioned restaurant, covered courtyard area, private function / conference room and 5 luxury en-suite bedrooms. We have an ever changing selection of guest ales which compliment the regular real ales sourced from local breweries and usually hold at least two beer festivals each year. We have been in the CAMRA good beer guide for the last three years running and were awarded the South Devon CAMRA Pub of the Year in 2007. His team of talented young chefs prepare all meals on the premises using only the freshest ingredients sourced locally wherever possible. The Mildmay Retreat is situated on the old brewery site and is a barn conversion. It is accross the car park from The Mildmay Colours Inn where breakfast is served. The Retreat comprises of six en-suite rooms, including family accommodation which is on three levels and sleeps upto six. All rooms have been tastefully refurbished and all have independent ground floor access. The Inn prides itself on its friendly atmosphere and service, it is listed in the Real Ale Guide and features four real ales, including The Mildmay Colours bitter.
