The Galloway Arms Hotel began in 1750 with its original builder and founder Alexander Stewart, Lord Garlies the 6th Earl of Galloway. Originally a Coaching Inn the hotel now boasts 18 modern bedrooms, two bars and a restaurant. The hotel sits in the middle of Newton Stewart a quiet rural town in the heart of Galloway.
