John and Moira took over Eagle View in November 2004 and completely renovated the whole house. The emphasis is comfort and relaxation. We are well-situated for touring the Central and Western Scottish Highlands and Islands and, of course, we are within the wonderful Cairngorm National Park a true wilderness for the adventurous. For the not-so-adventurous short walks will take you to the most stunning scenery Scotland has to offer.Eagle View is a relaxing and comfortable Victorian house within the beautiful, unspoiled, highland village of Newtonmore. Close to the village centre but with a quiet, peaceful location. There are several restaurants / hotels within an easy five-minute walk from our door. All rooms are non-smoking and are individually and tastefully decorated using high-quality materials. In sleigh beds with the crisp clean feel of our white Egyptian cotton bedding and soft luxurious mattress pads you will sleep in splendid comfort. All hot water is supplied using a new pressurised water system, giving that "power-shower" refreshing feel. The shower enlosures are glazed and double-sized. The en-suites have fully tiled floors and walls and are kept scrupulously clean. We use only fresh local produce for breakfast. In particular our sausages, supplied by Master Butcher George Gow of Kingussie, voted best pork sausage in Scotland for 2007. We have a travelling cot and high chair for guest use during your stay with us. We are also pet friendly . . . so long as they have well-behaved owners.
