The Nether Abbey Hotel has been owned by successive generations of the same family for fifty years. In 2004 the Hotel shut for extensive renovations and refurbishment with simply stunning results. Although priding ourselves on old fashioned personal service there is nothing staid or old fashioned about the Hotel. The public areas are open plan, cool, contemporary and with all the sophistication you would expect from a city centre bar and restaurant. We take great pride in the food and drink we offer with the emphasis on quality and fresh local ingredients – there’s a good chance that the guy sitting next to you at the Bar will have caught the Sea Bass you had for dinner!

No. 12, as its name suggests, is in Quality Street in the heart of North Berwick, just a stone’s throw from the harbour and local beaches..No. 12 Quality Street was purchased by Stirling and Jela Stewart in October 2005 and was previously called the Harbour House Hotel. The hotel is now fully licensed and in March 2006 the ground floor was renovated with simply stunning results and now includes No. 12 Café Bar.At No. 12 Stay Over we offer a unique, homely experience. There is no reception desk to check in at, just the lovely smell of coffee from the bar area. More than a Bed & Breakfast but without the formality of a hotel, No. 12 is all about relaxation and informality with excellent service. Bedrooms remain open as normal throughout the winter however the cafe is closed during the day on Mondays and Tuesdays (and is largely unmanned after breakfast) and every night for dinner apart from Friday’s and Saturday’s.
