Argyle House is a cosy Guest House retreat in Tomintoul village, which is centrally located in the Cairngorm National park. This is an ideal location for fishermen, walkers, cyclists, bikers, whisky enthusiasts, with local distilleries being the finest in Scotland. The castles in the area all have amazing stories and Balmoral is a mere 26 miles away. Tomintoul, located on the Crown Estate of Glenlivet, is the highest village in the highlands, lying at a height of 1170 ft (356m), and proudly claims to be the North East gateway to the park. Putting you on the doorstep of some of the most wonderful scenery and activities that Scotland has to offer!! Argyle Guest House has a total of 6 rooms offering a variety for almost anyone – family rooms – twin rooms as well as double rooms, simply decorated and very spacious. Each room boasts a television and tea and coffee making facilities. Wi-Fi access for those who need it. Cots are available on request. With prior arrangement, bring your dog on holiday with you. Our breakfast consists of a buffet of cereals, yoghurt and berries as well as fresh home made bread. Hot choices are the full Scottish platter, slow cooked creamy oats porridge, smoked salmon and eggs as well as eggs benedict. Most of our ingredients are locally sourced, and extremely delicious.
