This Grade II listed Timber framed Hall house is a delightful place to stay for your visit to Norfolk, whether on holiday or on business. Closer to home, look out for the wild muntjack deer that occasionally prance around on our hills within full view of your room. The north Norfolk Heritage coast is under an hour’s drive and well worth the effort. Visit the little coastal village of Cley and walk for miles at the edge of the ocean. See them sailing at Blakeney and in summer take a boat out to the seal beds. From the ancient market town of Holt, known for its antique and food stores, drive 4 miles to Sheringham Woods, a National Trust park high above the sea. Noel Coward wrote in Private Lives “Very flat – Norfolk”. Not here it’s not! Then ride the Poppy Line steam train on a round trip to Holt. The Norfolk broads are wonderful for a voyage of 3 to 4 hours on a crisp autumn or spring day. Rent a small boat at picturesque Wroxham; explore Norfolk’s romantic waterways mooring at one of the riverside pubs for a light lunch. But be warned. Make lunch really light as a four course feast of fish, exquisite seafood and delicious desserts awaits you at dinner time. Breakfast? Healthy Californian blends excitingly with spicy Mexican, an original spin you’ll not experience anywhere else in the UK. . Late breakfasts on weekends are encouraged and often run on until midday. You could be in paradise where relaxation and fabulous food combine to create an atmosphere of clandestine sensuality – a discovery you may wish to keep to yourselves!

The Penthouse at Watton sleeps 3. On entrance through the flat door you enter into the inner hall. To the left is the bedroom with a 5ft and 3ft bed, hand basin and shower cubicle. To the right is the toilet and the lounge. Upstairs is the galley kitchen which overlooks the lounge area. The kitchen is fitted with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, oven, hob, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster etc. All bedlinen and towels are provided Dogs welcome - charge £15 per dog Non smokers only Watton is 21 miles west of Norwich, with the Broads and the East Coast not far away, and is the smallest of Breckland’s five towns The Parish Church of St Mary dates from the 12th Century and has a Norman tower with an octagonal belfry. Watton also has a Methodist Church situated in the High Street and both have regular services. In the High Street there is an unusual clock tower, which dates from 1679 AD. This was erected after a fire destroyed much of the town in 1674, reputedly so that its bells could warn townsfolk should such a disaster strike again. On the town sign are the two ‘babes’ from the popular fairytale. It is said that the nearby Wayland Wood is where the two ‘babes in the wood’ unfortunately met their fate. The hare (wat) and barrel (tun) also feature on the town sign showing the derivation of the town name. Watton has a thriving community with a bustling high street where you can purchase the locally made ‘Wayland Sausage’ and ‘Wayland Bap’. A Grade II mansion suite built in the Jacobean style designed by William Burn and constructed between 1857 and 1862 to replace a former hall built in 1720 by James Nelthorpe whose daughter married James Hoste, the owner of Sandringham House. The Bull is a traditional coaching Inn dating from the early 17th century, although the foundations date from the mid 1300s making it the second oldest Inn in Norfolk. It was the first or last change of horses on the Kings Lynn to Great Yarmouth coaching route.
