A modern conversion of a church meeting hall, the accommodation is bright, spacious and very comfortable. All 4 kingsize double / twin rooms have comfortable sprung base beds, large en suites with baths and/or power showers and all facilities. The ground floor bedroom has an ensuite suitable for those with mobility difficulties and the ground floor is fully wheelchair accessible. The large lounge is at guests disposal throughout the day. Food is locally sourced from happy animals and is Fairtrade and Organic wherever possible. Llanwrtyd Wells is ideal for those wishing to explore the Heart of Wales, Builth Wells, the Brecon Beacons or visit the Royal Welsh Showground. There are many walks, cycle routes, driving tours and places of interest to choose from as well as award winning restaurants and friendly, local pubs. Ardwyn is a glorious "Belle Epoque" style guest house built in the early 1900s. Bursting with arts and craft features it encompasses a decidedly creative atmosphere. Art Nouveau touches can be found from the roll top baths to the light fittings which feature throughout the house. The house was fully restored in 2002, and has been brought up to todays standards of heating, insulation, plumbing, electrics and fire systems for the safety and comfort of our guests. The essential character of the guest house is still however, determinedly present. Ardwyn House is situated in Llanwrtyd Wells, Britains smallest town albeit with a big heart.

Nestling in the unspoilt countrside Bryncelyn provides commanding views of the rolling hills. At Bryncelyn you are always sure of a warm welcome from your hosts Lil & Malcolm who have developed the guesthouse to offer traditional hospitality combined with modern comfort and a personal touch. We have 7 traditionally furnished and decorated guest rooms which offer flexibility to our guests and provide the highest level of comfort. All rooms are equipped with a TV, radio alarm clock, tea & coffee making facilities and a hairdryer.

Our B&B is a small, warm and welcoming family home. The house has recently undergone extensive refurbishment with new bathrooms and bedrooms. The house nestles beside the southern edge of the Cambrian mountains, a vast area of outstanding natural beauty which is still relatively unknown. The Brecon Beacons, too, from the other side of the Irfon valley, are a paradise for walkers and cyclists. We have just two rooms for visitors; one a twin with ensuite shower room and the other a double with its own private bathroom. The house, although modern, is elegant with numerous antiques and paintings. We have a bespoke classical digital Phoenix church organ and a Bechstein grand piano for the use of guests who might play. We take great pride over our breakfasts. We have our own free range hens, honey from our bees - taking advantage of all the wild flowers in the area, home made jams and home baked bread every morning. Other foods are locally sourced and vegetarians are well catered for. We are just five minutes from the centre of the town with all its unusual and colourful events. We have ample safe and secure parking so being able to drink is not a problem! The town has its own brewery with a selection of tasty beers! The Heart of Wales railway runs through the town and this can form the base from which to explore more distant places, with or without bicycles. We really do try to make our guests feel at home and visitors can be assured of a warm welcome and all our attention.

After a long day you can return to the comfort of the house to relax beside the log fire in the lounge bar or, in the summer months, you can unwind in the conservatory or on the terrace, which boasts breathtaking views of the Black Mountain and the Brecon Beacons beyond The farm presents itself as an ideal base from which to explore the natural beauty of Mid & South Wales and the Brecon Beacons. A farmhouse style breakfast is served each morning, consisting of a choice of fruit juice, cereal, yoghurt and a full cooked buffet. For evening dinner, 3-course meals are available (additional cost). The style is traditional, with old favourites such as steak and ale pie and chicken Llanerchindda. With prior notice, vegetarians are also well catered for with meals such as spinach and ricotta lasagna or mixed bean goulash. Light lunches are also available, as are packed lunches (additional cost). Please give the staff prior notice each evening. All food is home made on-site, and is prepared using fresh Welsh produce wherever possible. On Site there are also a number of activities available (additional cost) including quad bike trekking, clay pigeon shooting, 4x4 driving and fishing. The farm is the ideal base for many outdoor activities including Walking, Mountain Biking and Bird Watching.

Carlton Riverside is a Restaurant-with-Rooms, and is one of the best restaurants in Britain, highly rated by all the independent Guides and most recently voted one of the Top 100 UK Restaurants by Restaurant Magazine. It occupies one of the oldest buildings in Llanwrtyd Wells, the smallest town in Britain, and sits on the south bank of the River Irfon, a lovely crystal-clear stream flowing through the middle of the town. Parking is not a problem here, as there is a free public car park just opposite the restaurant. Llanwrtyd Wells nestles at the foot of the Cambrian Mountains, a stunningly beautiful range of mountains and valleys, and one of Wales’s best kept secrets. There are wonderful walks to be had without any necessity to drive – you can just set off straight from the front door. Mountain biking is a growing sport and this is a very popular area to indulge in this activity, and bikes can readily be hired locally. Bird watching is also a very popular pastime and the once endangered red kite now flourishes in this area. Golf is available at the Builth Wells golf club just 15 minutes away. Both rooms have double beds, mini fridge, tea/coffee facilities, TV/DVD player and en-suite shower rooms. The cosy guest lounge/diner also has tea/coffee facilities, TV, video and a selection of books and games. Our breakfasts are from local meat produce, homemade vegetarian options and free range eggs (provided by our own hens )
