The Swan Inn is an eighteenth century malt house set on the river front close to the heart of Ironbridge. It was an Inn when Abraham Darby was building the Bridge and as such it is rumored that site meetings were held at The Swan from time to time. Our 8 eight individually styled rooms and private suite ooze character many with period features such as the original beams. One even has a glass floor to show the original maltings which were rediscovered during renovations in the late 1980s. Most have stunning views of the River Severn and are all beautifully decorated, comfortable and convenient for the delights of the Ironbridge Gorge. If you are brave enough try staying in room 5 where several people have reported strange goings on in the night. Just ask the staff. They love to talk about it! An eighteenth century Inn on the water front close to The Ironbridge. The White Hart has been around since before The Bridge was built and almost certainly accommodated craftsman and construction workers during the building of the bridge. There is also evidence to suggest that on occasions some of these workmen also used the bar!
