Blackmore farm is a unique 15th century grade 1 listed manor house built in 1486 by Sir Thomas Tremayle.Guests can stay in one of the three tastefully restored and furnished bedrooms in the main the main house (all central heated) or in the courtyard/ciderpress barn conversions in the grounds close by. Breakfast is taken in the great hall on a 20 feet long oak refrectory table surrounded by english armour and tapesteries.During the winter a log fire roars in the massive sandstone hearth. Built in the 1400s The George and Pilgrim is the oldest purpose built public house in the South West of England and is steeped with history. Situated in the centre of Bridgwater, the Old Vicarage offers guests all of the charm and atmosphere of a property with a 650 year history, but with the majority of facilities and services youd expect in a large hotel. Fishing commenced mid June with plenty of healthy activity still expected in the river until mid March. Starling roosts are just beginning, small flocks have already been seen.
