Friendly welcoming hotel on the outskirts of the market town of Tiverton only 10 minutes from junction 27 off the M5 and 20 miles from the Cathedral city of Exeter. The hotel has 69 spacious en-suite bedrooms 10 of which have been upgraded to an Executive standard. The 7 conference rooms vary in size and can accommodate up to 300 delegates. The Hotel has been undergoing complete renovation and is now very stylish and comfortable place to stay, relax, eat and drink. The hotel is fully licenced and open to non-residents, lunch is available from 12 noon until 2pm on week days and dinner from 6.30pm until 9.30pm. On Saturday and Sunday food is available all day. Our chef Steve Cox and his team has an exciting menu using local produce. The gardens are beautiful manicured with the new terrace and refurbished conservatory so you can sit , eat or drink in the sun. The Hartnoll hotel benefits from two mini suites and 2 superior rooms refitted to an extremely high standard. All of our standard rooms have been renovated to the same high standard with are not quite as spacious. The hotel has an up to date conference suite and can accommodate up to 100 persons in our Atruim function room. We have a wedding licence and can cater for 100 persons seated or 250 for parties or buffets. Fiona is an acumplished cook and a keen gardener, a visit to the National Trust property of Knightshayes Court and gardens is a must for any entheusiastic gardener staying at Heron House and Fiona will recommend other gardens such as Cotehay Manor, Rosemoor and Hestercombe amongst others for you to visit during your stay. Bampton is set in the foothills of Exmoor National Park and is 10 minutes from Dulverton, 30 from both North and South Devon beaches and is an ideal base for walking, cycling (Southwest Route No. 3 goes past the front door), riding, shooting, fishing, wind surfing, surfing, sailing and bird watching. Set yourself up for the day with one of Fionas scrumptious breakfasts using fresh local produce cooked on the Aga and served in the dining room. If you come back wet from a soggy walk we will even dry your clothes!
