The Inn is perfectly situated approximately six miles from Bedale, Leyburn and Catterick Garrison, ideal for exploring the Dales, and offers a high standard of accommodation, food and service. Our bedrooms are newly built to a high specification with en-suite facilities, and are located to the rear of the main trading area with private parking and independant access. The bright, modern restaurant overlooks the dale, and serves AA award winning food, whilst bar meals are served in the cosy, traditional public bar. Our AA award winning restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, Wednesday through Sunday ( SUNDAY EVENINGS, ADVANCED RESERVATIONS ONLY, PLEASE RESERVE YOUR TABLE AT THE TIME OF BOOKING.) each week offering both fixed price and a la carte options ideal either for a quick bite to eat or a more special meal from our extensive a la carte menu. Swinton Park is the ancestral home of the Cunliffe-Lister family and is set in 200 acres of parkland, lakes and gardens. The castle is surrounded by the family estate in which guests have access to rivers, reservoirs, moorland, dales and beautiful countryside bordering the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The Kings Head, Masham, is a fine Georgian building dating back to the 18th Century, situated in the Market Square of the picturesque town of Masham. From the outset The Kings Head was always more than an Inn. In its time it has been combined with a Posting House and surprisingly, an Excise Office. It now offers a warm welcome with an excellent menu range and serves traditional Theakstons and Black Sheep cask ales and an extensive wine list making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors to the town. It has recently undergone a sympathetic refurbishment of the bar, restaurant and the 23 letting bedrooms and can accommodate 40 delegates in the meeting room. The town always leaves visitors with a sense of calm and is a perfect place to relax, this could have a little to do with the two brewerys located in the town, which brew Theaksons and Black Sheep beer, both are well worth a visit.

This traditional inn has been fully refurbished, retaining the original features whilst offering guests every modern comfort.
