Blackpool's mile-long limo stretch
Blackpool is hoping to enter the Guinness World Record books again with the longest convoy of stretched limousines.
The attempt, to take place on October 8th along the Blackpool promenade, is looking to gather as many limousines and chauffeurs from around the UK as possible to break the record.
Organised by the National Limousine and Chauffeur Association, it is hoped that the event will raise funds for charity, particularly for the MRI scanner fund in Blackpool.
Passengers will be able to ride along as part of the record-breaking convoy for a small donation that will go to a good cause.
At least one mile's worth of stretch limousines are needed in order to enter the world record books.
All chauffeurs that take part will be rewarded with a certificate recognising their participation in the Golden Mile of Limousines in Blackpool.
Blackpool has previously broken the record for the longest convoy of Mini cars in 2004.
