Leeds Town Hall programme announced
The new programme for the autumn season at Leeds Town Hall has been announced and it a promises to be one of the best seasons yet.
Leeds is becoming an increasingly popular destination for those looking for a bed and breakfast break in Yorkshire and with such high class events it's easy to see why.
Highlights include a performance by the Welsh pop pioneers, the Super Furry Animals on Tuesday October 30th.
This is then followed by the beautiful vocal harmonies of Ladysmith Black Mambazo, famous for their collaboration on Paul Simon's Graceland album, on Thursday 15th November.
Meanwhile, the spectacular film music of John Williams (ET, Star Wars, Indiana Jones etc) is celebrated in a concert with the Orchestra of Opera North on Sunday 18th November.
The jazz programme includes the host of the BBC's I'm sorry I haven't a clue, Humphrey Lyttelton, with his band on Sunday December 2nd, and a tribute to Glenn Miller by his nephew John with his 18-piece big band on Sunday October 7th.
Other highlights include the Orchestre National de France, the White Russian Central Band, the world premiere of Philip Wilby's Bronte Mass and a full Christmas themed December including Handel's great choral work Messiah.
