Cornwall home to Britain's 'best building'
The Eden Project in Cornwall has proven its continuing popularity with its recent award as the 'best of the best' buildings at the British Construction Industry 20th Anniversary awards for its influence, legacy and public benefit.
The multi-biome building has an education centre and is home to separate climates such as the Humid Tropics Biome. Altogether the site hosts more than one million plants representing 5,000 species from all over the world.
Open all year round, the project is ideal for both children and adults who want to learn about the challenges involved in different ecosystems as well as just admire the beauty of the world's landscapes grouped into one area.
As the Eden Project can be explored on its own or visited in conjunction with its many activities for children and the older ones in the group, hotel accommodation sits within walking distance of this tourist attraction.
Calling itself the closest small hotel to the Eden Project, the Boscundle Manor Hotel lies just one mile from the centre and contains a restaurant and both indoor and outdoor heated pools for those on winter break.
