Fylde, Blackpool to build 5-star hotel

The Blackpool borough of Fylde is planning to build a five-star hotel in the spacious and open Great Birchwood area in order to make more room for its growing tourism trade.

Close to Blackpool but set in the forests around Great Birchwood will be the site of the hotel, which will include an equestrian centre, a new garden centre and cafe near the 66-bed hotel and 61 luxury chalets.

This rural area is perfect for families and visitors who prefer smaller-sized towns that still offer plenty of activities and accommodation for the traveller.

The family will love Blackpool's kid-themed attractions such as Blackpool Tower as well as its seafront views that impress just as much in the summer as in the winter.

For families wishing to visit Blackpool and Fylde, similar accommodation to the future Fylde hotel, such as the Clifton Arms Hotel in Lytham, will please visitors with views of Lytham Green and the seafront.
