Oxfordshire restaurant and hotel featured on 'The Restaurant'
26th Oct 2007The winners of the local Thame eating house competition in the television show The Restaurant will be moving in early November to open the restaurant and hotel for the locals and visitors to taste the winners' dishes.
Jane and Jeremy Hooper, with a little one along the way, will begin work on their newly named Eight at the Hatch, soon to be what Ms Hooper said would be a family-friendly establishment that will also accommodate private dining as well as a bar and a lunch-time menu, according to ThameNews.com
Fans of the competitive restaurant business show can visit the charming old market town of Thame as just one of Oxfordshire's many small towns that offers inviting hotels and restaurants to match.
For those who wish to stay a night or two at the hotel, formerly called The Old Trout, you can expect a historical thatched roof building from the 1500s and for those daring individuals, a potential encounter with a ghost that Ms Hooper said inhabits one of the rooms.
