The seaside town of Grange-over-Sands in England's Lake District in Cumbria has been named as one of the top ten seaside resorts in Saturday's Times and is an ideal choice for those looking for accommodation in a family-style seaside town.

Journalist Stephen McClarence named Grange as the only Cumbrian seaside town to make the list because it was the "perfect old-fashioned resort: not much sand but lots of quiet Cumbrian class".

The small town is known for its tranquil and accessible location on Morecambe Bay, where visitors can stroll along the promenade and view the bay surrounded by unusually temperate foliage such as palm trees and other tropical types of plants.

Hotels, bed and breakfasts and self-catering accommodation are just as convenient for people who want to room along Morecambe Bay. The Corner Beech House is just one example of an affordable bed and breakfast situated on the bay built in classic Edwardian style.
