With its beautiful sandy coastline and a history firmly rooted in Arthurian legend, north Cornwall offers something for everyone this summer.

Guests to Cornwall self-catering accommodation looking to get back to nature will be spoilt for choice.

From the craggy tors and wild moorland of Bodmin, to the mystery of Tintagel Castle linked to the Knights of the Round Table, the region offers walkers and cyclists many opportunities.

Meanwhile, foodies can indulge in their passion for food at Rick Stein's renowned Seafood Restaurant in Padstow where they can sample some of the fresh fruits of the Atlantic.

With an additional 30 seats, the restaurant has undergone something of an overhaul in recent months, with a new entrance, wine cellar and terrace for pre-dinner drinks.

What is more, a seafood bar right in the middle of the building offers diners the chance to sit and order anything from the menu without booking, while chefs will assemble platters of oysters, langoustines and Japanese sushi and sashimi in front of their eyes.

For families, Carruan Farm at Polzeath offers a taste of the countryside, with farm animals and tractor rides.

Crealy Great Adventure Park just off the A39 between Padstow and Newquay, is a great day out for all the family, with thrilling rides and slides, play areas and animals including rabbits, goats, ponies and shire horses.
