The Lannercost Music and Arts festival boasts a superb line-up this year and will provide excellent entertainment for families staying in a Cumbria B&B.

From June 18th to 22nd Lannercost, near Brampton, will host a range of music and arts performances and shows.

Carlisle born opera singer Ida Marie Turri will perform From Italy...with Love; a range of Italian songs and operatic arias with conductor and pianist Wyn Davis.

Edward I – The Musical Spectacular first debuted in 2006 and will now get a welcome return for 2008.

Written by Ian Warnes, the performance marries folk music with a firework show to create an incredible show.

Korean piano virtuoso Young-Choon Park studied at New York's Juilliard School before gaining her higher Masters at the Hochschule in Munich, Germany.
Ms Park will visit the festival to give a recital of her world-renowned abilities.

Young students from Chethams School of Music, the largest specialist music school in the UK, will also give a range of performances during the festival.

Equally, Marilynne Davies will be the adjudicator for Lannercost Young Musician of the Year with cash prizes for the winners.

Cumbria B&Bs are available close to the Lake District and the festival, meaning that there will be plenty of entertainment available for families during June.
