Music loving guests of a Cumbria B&B will be able to enjoy a world-renowned festival of blues when it visits the county during the summer.

Running form July 25th to 27th, the Maryport Blues Festival will see various legends of the musical genre descend on a harbour in the Lake District's Solway Firth.

This year, rock 'n' roll legend and musical pioneer Chuck Berry will arrive in Cumbria to wow the crowds.

Equally, blues guitarist Jimmy Vaughan will give a UK exclusive performance and Jools Holland will bring his Rhythm and Blues orchestra to the party.

The main stage of the festival will be erected in a giant marquee on the Netherhall Rugby ground, which is close to Maryport town centre.

Around 40 performers will take to the stage over the weekend providing the perfect attraction for families or music-loving individuals staying at a Cumbria B&B.

Tickets are priced at £35 for the Friday, £45 for Saturday and Sunday or £95 for the entire weekend, and are now on-sale from www.ticketline.co.uk and other sources.
