For guests staying at a Cumbria B&B and seeking a more rustic experience, a festival of wool production and country life is due to go ahead in late June.

Woolfest 2008 runs at the Mitchell's Lakeland Livestock Centre in the Georgian town of Cockermouth from June 27th to 28th.

The festival celebrates everything to do with wool, from the sheep that produce the fibres right though to the end products which are made with it.

Visitors can experience an exhibition and educational event alongside a live animal show featuring modern and traditional methods.

There are 100 stands offering a range of things to buy, including basic wool sweaters right up to designer knit-wear.

Moreover, there will also be three international fashion shows; including Fashion from Nature, From Sheep to Dress and Fashion from Lithuania.

With area for children to get close to the animals, Woolfest 2008 will prove a fantastic attraction for families staying at a Cumbria B&B.
