Cumbria B&B: Solfest set for Cumbria

Music lovers planning to stay at a Cumbria B&B can look forward to a festival of music and arts when it returns to the Cumbrian coast.

Now into its sixth year, Solfest is based at Silloth on a farm on Cumbria's north-west coast and runs from August 22nd to 24th.

The festival organisers intend to support the local community as well as offer world-class entertainment to people attending the festival.

With only 5,000 tickets available, the event is deliberately kept small to retain its fantastic atmosphere.

Headlining this year is rock band Supergrass along with celebrated alternative pop singer Roisin Murphy and indie band The Bees.

Equally, cockney pop duo Chas & Dave, retro band the Pipettes and 1970s British punk group Sham 69 will all perform at the event.

With fantastic music, an intimate atmosphere and superb facilities, Solfest will no doubt prove a fantastic attraction for guests staying at a Cumbria B&B during August.
