Devon B&B: Beach huts back in Devon seaside town
The Devon seaside is very popular among guests staying at a Devon B&B and now colourful beach huts have returned to the coast.
Teignbridge Council recently installed 15 brand new beach huts at Dawlish Warren, which has not featured these brightly coloured icons of British beach culture for over 20 years.
Three of the huts will be available for visitors to hire on a daily or weekly basis, with eleven to hire on three year leases and the final one set for storage.
Councillor David Corney-Walker, executive member for Economic Development and Tourism, told the BBC that "the humble beach hut is an iconic part of the British seaside tradition".
"These beach huts are the icing on the Dawlish Warren cake, and it's fantastic to see them open in time for the peak summer season," he added.
Local council officials hope that the brightly coloured huts with stunning views over Lyme Bay will prove an attractive prospect for people staying at a Devon B&B.
