Edinburgh B&B: Evita wows Edinburgh audiences
Theatre loving guests staying at an Edinburgh B&B can enjoy the celebrated musical Evita as it starts a two-week run in the city.
Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical is currently being shown every night at the Edinburgh Playhouse and runs up to June 21st.
Evita is based on Mary Main's book the Woman with the Whip which documents the real life story of Argentine political icon Eva Peron.
The story tracks the rise of Eva Duarte from humble origins in Argentina to become the first lady at the side of Colonel Peron as he became the country’s leader.
In the process the musical deals with issues of power and incredible wealth as Duarte is hoisted to sainthood as Evita.
This brand new production sees Louise Dermon take the role of the leading lady and sing some of Webber's most iconic songs such Don't Cry for Me Argentina.
The chance to see one of the most cherished musicals in history will no doubt prove too good to miss for people staying at an Edinburgh B&B.
