Cornwall B&B: Bands get set for Gig on the Green

Gig on the Green is due to go ahead in Cornwall during August which will provide a fantastic range of music for people staying at a Cornwall B&B.

The family friendly one-day event is based at Boscawen Park in Truro and features bands from Cornwall and beyond performing on the three stages.

Now into its sixth year, Gig on the Green 2008 is set to be the biggest yet with Cornish bands Rosie and the Goldbug, Astro Firs, Glass Shark and The Reels all performing.

Equally, there will be DJ sets from Fat Boy Tim and Cally & Juice alongside an It's a Knockout competition for some light hearted fun.

Circus workshops and a Scooby Doo kid's zone will keep the younger visitors entertained throughout the day from 1pm to 9pm.

Entry is free and all proceeds from the bars, food stalls and workshops goes to locals charities Cornwall's Children's Hospice, Ellie's Haven and Truro Mayor's Ultimate Touch.

With so much free music, entertainment and fun on offer, there will surely be something for everyone to enjoy while staying at a Cornwall B&B.
