Conservative party leader David Cameron has taken his lead from the many people that stay at a Cornwall B&B by opting to take a holiday in the county.

Mr Cameron and his wife Samantha are believed to have booked a stay in Harlyn Bay, which is one of Cornwall's fantastic 'seven bays'.

These include Porthcothan Bay, Treyarnon, Constantine Bay, Booby's Bay, Mother Iveys Bay, and also Trevone Bay.

Sitting in the middle of the bays is the town of St Merryn, which is three miles from Padstow and will soon have its vibrant annual carnival on August 16th.

At Harlyn Bay, Mr Cameron can make the most of golfing facilities available at the Trevose Golf and Country Club or even get a surfing lesson on the water.

For a more relaxed time, there are incredible views to enjoy on coastal walks or the lighthouse and Trevose blow hole to be explored.
