Oxfordshire B&B: Scenic railways guide launched
16th Jul 2008A brand new guide has been launched showcasing scenic railway journeys across Oxfordshire that can be enjoyed by guests staying at one of the county's many fantastic B&Bs.
The guide covers the Cotswolds & Malvern railway line which includes stops at Oxford, Evesham, Worcester, Malvern and Hereford.
Equally, it covers some of the most historic and beautiful sites and scenery that Oxfordshire has to offer.
Oxfordshire County Council has produced the guide alongside a partnership of train operators, district council and tourism agencies.
Adrian Saunders, Rail Development Officer at Oxfordshire County Council, told Thame News that he hoped people will make the most of the guide when planning a day trip or short break.
"We'd like to boost use of the railway at times when the trains are less busy so we can push for an even-better train service."
"This is an exciting time for the line, with high-speed trains, improved reliability and a government decision on building more track coming in the summer," he added.
It is hoped people staying at an Oxfordshire B&B will use the fold-out guide to discover places to see across the county as well use it as a resource for general travel information.
