Blackpool B&B: Doctor Who attracts crowd for Blackpool visit
Doctor Who fans staying at a Blackpool B&B had a fantastic surprise yesterday when former doctor Sylvester McCoy made an appearance at the resort.
Visitors assembled at the Doctor Who Museum in Blackpool when McCoy, who starred as the world-famous time-lord from 1987 to 1989, came by to sign autographs and pose for photos.
He was joined on the promenade-based museum by former sidekick Donna Noble and a whole host of the show's sinister Cyberman.
McCoy, who is presently rehearsing for a performance of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado, told the Blackpool Gazette that he used to come to the resort as a child.
"The last time I was here I was performing at The Grand, which is always fantastic and I actually performed as The Invisible Man".
"I really love coming to the old place because the people are fantastic and they are always so enthusiastic. There's been a Doctor Who Museum here for years and the love for the show around here is amazing," he added.
More former stars of Doctor Who are soon expected to arrive in the resort which will provide more treats for guests staying at a Blackpool B&B.
