Blackpool B&B: Plans unveiled for new tennis club
A scheme is being considered for a fantastic new tennis facility which could provide a fantastic fitness attraction for sport loving guests staying at a Blackpool B&B.
The Blackpool Gazette reports that plans have been unveiled for an £8 million new David Lloyd health, fitness and racquet club to be created at the Whitehills Business Park.
Based on a 2.6 hectare site, the complex will deliver both indoor and outdoor tennis facilities, which can also be used for badminton and squash.
There are also health and beauty areas included in the plans, alongside an aerobics section and capability to host functions.
As part of the 82,000 square foot development, there will be a 242 berth car park and the complex will generate 100 jobs in the local area.
An October 7th deadline has been set for Flyde council to make a decision on the plans, which people staying at a Blackpool B&B will hope to prove positive for go ahead.
