Blackpool B&B: Salsa fever grips Blackpool
Guests staying at a Blackpool B&B last Friday were gripped by salsa fever as hundreds of people went dance crazy in the resort.
Around 1,000 visitors flocked to the Blackpool Tower Ballroom to cut some moves at the bi-monthly Towering Inferno Salsa party.
Running into the early hours of Saturday morning, people of all ages danced to the Latino beat as part of the event which has proved a huge success since launching four years ago
Co-organiser and tutor Jason Parkinson told the Blackpool Gazette that "the popularity of salsa is just continuing to grow all over the country".
"People travel from as far as Newcastle and even Scotland to take part in the salsa nights here at the Tower Ballroom, [as] it is such a famous venue."
"The beauty of salsa is that it is relatively easy to get good at it quite quickly and it looks really impressive."
"It is also something quite novel that couples can do together and we are getting more and more young people trying it out," he added.
The next Towering Inferno Salsa event runs on October 3rd and will no doubt prove another big hit among guests staying at a Blackpool B&B.
