Cornwall B&B: Plans on show for improved Falmouth marina
Exciting plans have gone on display for a new £5 million pound, 300-berth marina to be created in the Cornish town of Falmouth.
If the plans go ahead, guests staying at a Cornwall B&B will be able to look forward to the Port Falmouth development which forms part of an ongoing regeneration of the docks.
The regeneration scheme is being run by A&P and includes the implementation of a 600 meter-long floating breakwater.
According to A&P executives, the project will make significant strides to "transform" the area between the Queen's and Duchy wharves.
Drystan Jones, Falmouth marina manager, told the BBC that "There is huge interest in the new marina which promises to provide the town with a great new facility enabling the growth of a wide range of yachting events within the town".
If the pans are approved, boat loving guests staying at a Cornwall B&B could benefit from an increased selection of berths for yachts and other sea vessels.
