Devon B&B: Cross country rally comes to Devon
Anyone staying at a Devon B&B with a love for high octane motor sport will be pleased to hear that a national cross-country race is coming to the county.
The 2008 Britpart MSA British Cross-Country Championship (BCCC) will run at Hartnoll Farm, near Tiverton, from August 16th to 17th.
As the largest town in mid Devon, this is the first time that Tiverton has hosted the event which is an important date in the racing calendar.
Entrants will engage in staggered races across the four-mile stage which will run over six events during the two days of the weekend.
Huddersfield's Richard Kershaw heads into the event with the intention of defending his 18-point lead in the BCCC championship.
Selwyn Kendrick, spokesman for Marches 4x4 Motorsport Management which organises the BCCC, said that "we are delighted to be running an event in the south-west of the country at this new venue".
"It gives us the opportunity to take the BCCC to a new area of the country and a chance to try out a new venue," he added.
An incredible range of motorsport and competition will surely prove too good to miss for guests staying at a Devon B&B.
