Devon B&B: James Bond maze proves big hit in the county
James Bond fans staying at a Devon B&B can experience an incredible 007 themed maze that has opened at a farm in the county.
Built using thousands of maize plants at a farm in Bickleigh, near Tiverton, the maze was designed to honour the centenary landmark since the birth of Bond author Ian Fleming.
The ten-acre maze features an image of Bond and his Aston Martin designed by the daughter of Upincott Farm owner Janice Lee as part of a diversification programme.
Ms Lee told BBC News that "we're a working farm and times have been difficult, so this has helped".
"It was a case of helping each other, so the obvious logo to do was the mill, including the water wheel," she said. "Not only was it a huge success for us, it helped put the mill on the map with tourists too."
"They want to see [the Bond maze], so people are coming prepared with their wellies because it is so muddy," she added.
The James Bond maze will be open until September 7th so people staying at a Devon B&B should be sure to catch up with the iconic spy while they can.
