Edinburgh B&B: A taste of California expands in Edinburgh
Guests staying at an Edinburgh B&B have an increased opportunity to enjoy a taste of west coast America as a second branch of a California themed restaurant has opened.
Following record revenues at the first Calistoga restaurant which launched in 2004 on the south side of the city, a second outlet has opened on Rose Street North Lane.
Thanks to a menu created by award-winning chef Tony Singh alongside 100 different wines available at affordable prices, Calistoga has proved a big hit in Edinburgh.
Gordon Minnis, restaurant owner, told the Evening News that "even in these times, our last seven or eight months have all been record months for us, so we see it as a good time to expand".
"People are looking for something unique and we can offer that. Our food is unique because nowhere else is doing the same thing in the UK," he added.
The 56-seat Rose Street branch is twice the size of the first restaurant and will allow the owners to put on a range of events such as wine tasting for guests staying at an Edinburgh B&B.
