Oxfordshire B&B: Visitors flock to farm museum
An Oxfordshire farm museum is celebrating a rise in visitor numbers after more people discovered the attraction while staying at one of the county's many fantastic B&Bs.
During the first half of 2008, Cogges Farm Museum has seen over 6,000 more people choose to visit the attraction compared to figures for the same period last year.
Officials from Cogges believe that cutting the price of season tickets proved the key to attracting visitors back to the museum.
Stand-in manager Francesca Jones told the Oxford Mail "we are grateful to the people who bought season tickets because it makes a big difference".
"We knew that support in the local area was a big factor for us, so that's where we decided to rationalise and make it more attractive," she added.
Cogges is a working farm museum and enables guests staying at an Oxfordshire B&B to experience a taste of proper rural life in the county.
Inside the genuine, 700-year-old Cotswolds farm buildings, there are various attractions for both children and adults to enjoy.
