Low-cost airline Jet2.com has announced that it is to start flying people to Cornwall in order to stay at one of the county's many B&Bs.

The airline is to commence the operation of flights from its base in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to Newquay Airport in Cornwall.

Philip Meeson, manager of Jet2.com, said that "these are exciting times for us" and added that "we are expanding our range of destinations and are planning to increase our overall capacity from Northern Ireland".

"Cornwall is the great British holiday destination ideal for families, surfers and lovers of first class regional food," he explained. "Who can resist a clotted cream tea, a real Cornish pasty or a slap up meal at one of Rick Stein's restaurants in Padstow?"

This new flight service will provide an easy way for people to come and stay at a Cornwall B&B and explore everything the county has to offer.
