Cornwall B&B: Ruby Wax to host Cornwall Tourism Award
Cornish tourism officials have secured television star Ruby Wax to present an awards ceremony for the greatest attractions that encourage people to stay at a Cornwall B&B.
The seventh annual Cornwall Tourism Awards are due to go ahead on Thursday October 16th at the Headland Hotel.
Presenter and comedian Ruby Wax has agreed to be the guest speaker as well as reveal who are the winners of the top prizes.
Ms Wax described Cornwall as "a special place of mine" and that "my visits were always so much fun; thinking about them still makes me laugh now".
"It was in Cornwall that I had my one and only attempt at surfing…never again," she added. "I ended up with a broken toe and one bruised ego!"
Despite a difficult summer period for Cornish tourism, VisitConwall's Teresa Timms said that the standard at the awards had been "breathtakingly high".
