Devon B&B: Food festival gets underway
A fantastic festival of food is currently underway in Devon which will provide a treat for the taste buds for guests staying at one of the county's B&Bs.
The Devon Celebration of Food Festival commenced yesterday at Topsham's Darts Farm with a food challenge featuring top chefs.
A huge variety of food and drink businesses from the local area will feature at the festival which runs for the whole of October.
Over 100 events are already confirmed, including a food hero's night at Dart's Farm on October 9th, which will include a four-course dinner.
Councillor Humphrey Temperley of Devon County Council told the Exmouth Herald: "Supporting Devon's food and drink industry strengthens the local economy and reduces food miles.
"Buying local is also about knowing where your food comes from and this festival is great for giving people the chance to meet the producers who make some of the fantastic products you can buy in Devon."
Food lovers from around the UK and beyond will surely flock to the county to enjoy the festival while also staying at a Devon B&B.
