Oxfordshire B&B: Brand new sports centre plans afoot
Plans have been proposed for a new sporting complex in Didcot which could provide a fantastic resource for people staying at an Oxfordshire B&B.
Plans for the £15 million Didcot sports centre feature an all weather sports pitch, a swimming pool and six tennis courts, reports the Oxford Times.
This follows a consultation group formed by the local council which was tasked with addressing the diminished sports facilities in Didcot.
Councillor Bill Service, council cabinet member for leisure, told the newspaper: "This draft report and the options it raises are a positive move forward in helping us deliver future services and facilities for a growing population in the town."
Council officials are now to vote on the scheme before a final report can be drafted ahead of work commencing in the future.
The possibility of these new sports and fitness facilities being introduced into Didcot will prove welcome news for guests staying at an Oxfordshire B&B.
