Blackpool B&B: Atomic Kitten switch on Blackpool's Christmas
Hundreds of people staying at a Blackpool B&B this weekend watched pop group Atomic Kitten switch on the Christmas lights in the resort.
Jenny Frost, Natasha Hamilton and Liz McLarnon shared the stage with children's character Pingu the Penguin while switching on the Christmas illuminations.
The trio also played a 45-minute concert on a stage erected on Adelaide Street which included their hit songs Ladies Night, the Tide Is High and Whole Again.
Visitors also watched a fireworks show and artificial snow sprayer alongside VIP guests Councillor Maxine Callow and Blackpool Mayor Mary Smith.
Councillor Callow, cabinet member for regeneration and tourism, told the Blackpool Gazette: "I think this is the best Christmas lights switch-on I've ever seen."
"Let's hope it is a successful Christmas for all the traders in Blackpool," she added.
This successful star studded ceremony indicated that it will be a great Christmas period for Blackpool and its many fantastic B&Bs.
