Blackpool B&B: Jack Ryder plays Romeo in the resort
Guests staying at a Blackpool B&B this week will be able to watch former-Eastenders star Jack Ryder who is performing in a play in the resort.
Until Saturday, Ryder is appearing at the Blackpool Grand Theatre in the lead role of the Wales Theatre Company's version of Romeo and Juliet.
The star told the Blackpool Gazette that he "wanted to be Leonardo DiCaprio" after watching Baz Luhrman's movie take on the story and "luckily for me everything just fell into place".
"I've been blown away by the reception we have been getting," explained Ryder. "It's a very accessible version and we do school workshops to make it more so."
"I think that the youngsters in the audience actually get what we are doing quicker than the adults do," he added.
The chance to watch this iconic play featuring such a high profile star will surely prove too good to miss among people staying at a Blackpool B&B.
