Cornwall B&B: Truro celebrates with a the festival of lights
20th Nov 2008People staying at a Cornwall B&B last night were able to experience a fantastic festival of lights which went ahead in the Cornish town of Truro.
Truro's City of Lights Festival involved a parade featuring a selection of Chinese-style lanterns leading up to the switch-on of the town's Christmas lights.
Neil Scott, manager of Totally Truro which funds the lights, told the Cornish Guardian: 'This is the second year we've funded and erected the beautiful Christmas light displays in Truro and the switch-on signals the start of our winter festival programme.'
'We've worked closely with City of Lights organisers this year to bring the two events together and truly celebrate the start of the festive season in Truro,' he added.
Late night shopping will start from November 26th in Truro with Santa and his real reindeer on hand to usher in the festive season.
This event will also involve markets and other entertainment for the enjoyment of people staying at a Cornwall B&B.
