Cornwall B&B: City of Lights Festival set for Truro
Guests staying at a Cornwall B&B this month will be able to watch a fantastic festival of light which is due to go ahead in the county.
The City of Lights Festival & Parade will run through Truro city centre on November 19th and culminate in the switch-on of the Christmas lights.
Giant lanterns made from withy and tissue will be illuminated for the parade as people dressed in amazing outfits dance to the travelling samba bands.
Jill Hudson, lantern artist, said: "The festival, the celebration and the procession of City of Lights is a great opportunity for all those involved, and something that I feel very proud to take part in."
"There is a great sense of achievement for the children
while the procession alongside artists and community groups creates a wonderful atmosphere of celebration and community," she added.
Last year's event was attended by over 10,000 people and it's likely that countless more will attend this year's extravaganza while also staying at a Cornwall B&B.
