Cornwall B&B: Truro Hall breaks box office records

A venue in Cornwall has reported record box office results with many shows well attended by guests staying at a B&B in the county.

During September, the Hall for Cornwall in Truro took £10,000 more in profits than in any other month on record.

This was helped by popular shows such as Cabaret and the Moscow Ballet, alongside performances by Eddie Izzard, Dionne Warwick and Hofesh Schechter.

Tim Brinkman, venue director, said: "Shows are booking well into next year as people seem to be investing in keeping their spirits up with some excellent live entertainment."

"I'm looking for more events to cheer and amaze people and good ticket sales mean we can continue to attract top quality entertainment to the region," explained Mr Brinkman.

"I can see how much people benefit and get a buzz from seeing exciting live theatre and will be doing all I can to get people out enjoying good things together," he added.

Sales of pantomime tickets are already exceeding expectations indicating that the Hall will prove a popular attraction among guests staying at a Cornwall B&B during the festive season.
