Edinburgh B&B: Gail Porter to appear in Edinburgh's Vagina Monologues

Television presenter Gail Porter will soon be entertaining people staying at an Edinburgh B&B as she is due to make a rare appearance on stage in the Scottish capital.

Ms Porter has reportedly agreed to appear in a new performance of comedy the Vagina Monologues at the Edinburgh Playhouse.

She will appear alongside television presenter Kaye Adams, comedienne Karen Dunb and former Pop Idol winner Michelle McManus.

Ms Porter expressed to the Scotsman how glad she is to be returning to the city of her birth but also that she was slightly worried about performing the show in front of her mother.

'I am thrilled, as always, to be working in Edinburgh in something as brilliant and funny as the Vagina Monologues,' she explained. 'However, I'm not sure I could cope with my mum sitting in the front row.'

The show will run from February 16th to 21st 2009 and will no doubt prove too good to miss among guests staying at an Edinburgh B&B.
